Brian Hasenbauer

Brian Hasenbaurer started out as a fat, pack-a-day smoking, financial analyst with a major computer services company. When he watched the Ironman Triathlon on TV, he knew that is what he had to do.

Brian has compiled an impressive series of triathlon results over the past few years. Here's just a few:

Two time USAT All-American, Three consecutive Hawaii Ironman World Championships, Member 2001 Team USA, 8th overall place 2001 Gulf Coast Half Ironman (Computrainer Bike Segment winner), 12th overall 2001 Buffalo Springs Half Ironman, Winner 2001 Try-Paris Triathlon, and Winner 2001 Du-to-Du Duathlon (short course).

Here is how Brian uses SNS products in his training and racing.

"With the amount of running that I do (30-70 miles per week), it is a necessity to keep my knees in the best shape that I can. Even running on soft surfaces, changing shoes frequently, and taking days off, are not always enough. Nu Knees gives me the extra edge that I need to stay in shape and keep to my vigorous training schedule."

Ultra High Carbs is another product that I have been using regularly and getting great results with. I decided to use the Ultra High Carb in training prior to the 2000 Hawaii Ironman. I like the product so much that I used it as part of my pre-race carb loading protocol. During the last week leading up to the Ironman, I would drink two servings per day; one in the morning and one if the evening. I definitely needed every ounce of this extra energy getting across the finish line in Kona.

Before a workout, I am usually a little tired and have not had a meal, so I have some Ultra High Carbs to get me through the workout without feeling famished and having no energy. After the workout, I will have another half or full serving. You have to remember that the most crucial two hours in any endurance athlete's day are the ones right after the workout. During those two hours, muscles are more sensitive to insulin, and will more quickly store up glycogen to prepare for tomorrow's workout. I now use Ultra High Carbs as my pre and post recovery fluid."

As a result of his experience in triathlons, Brian decided to get out of the computer business and help other people discover how fitness can change their lives. He started Fit2Train personal training service. Fit2Train is his web portal, providing information, links to other sites and services, and his newsletter.

If you would like to ask Brian any questions, or inquire about personal training services, you can visit hiswebsite at fit2train.com.
